The 26th annual St. Louis Railroad Prototype Modelers (RPM) meet is Thursday, Friday and Saturday (October 24th through 26th), and Arrowhead Models looks forward to attending and hosting a clinic.
RPM ChicagoLand is held at the Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center in Lisle, Ill. It is one of the Nation's largest and longest running RPM meets. RPM ChicagoLand bills itself as a premier gathering of railroad prototype modelers. The event focuses on three full days of clinics with the purpose of sharing prototype information, discussion of both modeling techniques and prototypical operations, and encouraging fellowship among like-minded modelers.
On Friday at 4:00 and on Saturday at 2:30, Blaine Hadfield will give a photographic exposition of rural grain elevators with a focus on wood elevators of frame and crib construction. In anticipation of our ACF 4600 covered hopper, we will speak to the transformation of the grain industry from a domestic commodities market to an International market and how this transformation set into play the conditions for new freight cars. The presentation is organized around specific branch lines of the Milwaukee Road, Chicago & Northwestern, Soo Line, Northern Pacific, Great Northern, Burlington Route, Union Pacific, and Santa Fe railroads.
We invite you to stop by our table or attend our clinic! Let us know what you would like to see from us. We look forward to seeing you there!
