The 13th annual St. Louis Railroad Prototype Modelers (RPM) meet is this Friday and Saturday (July 26th and 27th), and Arrowhead Models looks forward to attending and hosting a clinic.
The St. Louis RPM meet is held at the Gateway Convention Center in Collinsville, Ill. It is the Nation's largest RPM meet. It features 28,000 sq. ft. of convention space, over 120 tables of hand-picked vendors, 20 railroad historical societies, and presentations by nationally-recognized historians and modelers.
On Friday at 3:30, Arrowhead will give a photographic exposition of rural grain elevators with a focus on wood elevators of frame and crib construction. In anticipation of our ACF 4600 covered hopper, we will speak to the transformation of the grain industry from a domestic commodities market to an International market and how this transformation set into play the conditions for new freight cars. The presentation is organized around specific branch lines of the Milwaukee Road, Chicago & Northwestern, Soo Line, Northern Pacific, Great Northern, Burlington Route, Union Pacific, and Santa Fe railroads.
We invite you to stop by our table or attend our clinic! Let us know what you would like to see from us and from the industry. We look forward to seeing you there!
