Arrowhead Models now offers the detail parts of its Committee Design hopper separately!
Arrowhead moves beyond simple detail parts to offer multi-piece parts of unmatched fidelity. These include: 3-piece air reservoirs, 3 and 4-piece handbrakes, and 2-piece brake regulators and ABD valves. Because of the constraints in the injection molding process, the accurate and detailed replication of some parts requires one to move beyond simple, single piece parts. With finite consideration of these details, Arrowhead Models has produced the most faithfully rendered parts in our industry.
Of note, Arrowhead's Miner 1942 handbrake is most appropriate for applications after 1960.
The date, 1942, designates when this iteration of the Miner design was introduced (and not the production year). The 1942-era handbrake was the de-facto production handbrake for Miner for many years thereafter. However in 1957, hand brake manufacturers sought to standardize brake wheels, and by the early 1960s, all hand brake manufacturers had switched over to a more-or-less standardized wheel (although there were still some minor differences between manufacturers, and these differences are reflected in our parts). Arrowhead's Miner 1942 Handbrake and Appliance set features a combination of 1942 hand brake and the brake wheel that Miner standardized on in the late 1950s. This is the appropriate appliance set for Miner applications after 1960.
